The Gay Pride Festival takes place each August. It is a celebration filled with sports, cultural activities and parties. The most lively and famous activity at this festival each year is the canal parade.
The "floats" of this parade literally float along the city's waterways. It is very dramatic, cabaret, fun-filled and also a bit risque.
