The NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky in Amsterdam has been around for about 150 years. Polish tailor Adolf Wilhelm Krasnapolski arrived in the Netherlands in 1856 and opened the Polish Café with adjacent rental rooms that would eventually grow into the esteemed Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky.
This hotel has a fine reputation for excellent customer service and quality accommodations. Its location in Dam Square, facing the Royal Palace, is in the midst of Amsterdam's prime attractions. It is the largest five-star hotel in the Netherlands with 468 rooms, seven suites, 36 apartments and three restaurants. It also features a meeting area for conventions. But don't let the size of this hotel fool you.
The staff at the Krasnapolsky never fail to provide each guest with a hospitable welcome and top-notch service. Its classic atmosphere and attention to detail is balanced with a comfortable and friendly vibe.
The Krasnapolsky was always a leader in innovation, being the first hotel in Amsterdam to offer guests warm water, electricity and in-room telephones. Today, it is still a leader in customer service.
